Pai Gow Poker is a modern game with old ancestry. Based on the ancient Chinese domino game and the current American variation of poker, Pai Gow poker joins the far east with the wild west in a fantastic game for beginner level gamblers.

Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the player vs. the croupier, unlike the majority of other poker games that players compete against other players. By gambling against the dealer, beginner players do not need to fret about other, more experienced gamblers winning their cash.

An additional Pai Gow edge is the generally slow game pace, newcomers will be able to take their time and plan without needing to make quick decisions.

It is also much simpler to play for a very long time with basically a small amount of money since, to not win, each of your hands has to be lower than both of the dealer’s hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the familiar 52-card standard deck and a single joker. The player is dealt 7 cards face up and the dealer is given 7 cards face down.

One five card hand and one 2 card hand need to be put together from the seven cards, the five card hand must be better than the two card hand. To win, a player needs both of his hand values to be larger than the casino’s.
