4 of Poker’s Great Guys

Literally millions and millions of players want to be the next "huge thing" in poker, but here is a short list of four of the more well known "great pros" of the game. Although "nice" is connected with their names when you are at a poker table it is "no more Mr. Nice guy" until they have removed you out of the competition!

Daniel Negreanu

In Two Thousand and Four, his competition earnings added up to more than four and a half million dollars and he captured 2 highly respected awards in the WSOP Player of the Year and Cardplayer Magazine’s Tourney Player of the Year. In February 2006 he was chosen Card Player’s Favourite Poker Player. Daniel still has the humility to talk to his admirers about how they might improve their own game.

Howard Lederer

Referred to as "The Professor" and brother of fellow poker pro Annie Duke. His achievements have lead to him making an instructional poker video named "Secrets of No Limit Hold’em" and co hosting a tournament poker show for Fox TV. As of Two Thousand and Five, his total life time earnings exceed 2.7 million dollars.

Scotty Nguyen

Scotty is one of the most active players in poker and from Two Thousand to Two Thousand and Four he placed in the money in more than 100 tournaments. He is notorious for saying "yeah baby" during poker matches and also credited with the phrase "that’s poker baby" when alluding to a exceptionally bad defeat. As of 2006, his life time earnings are almost six million dollars.

Chris Ferguson

Chris has won five World Series of Poker titles with 2 of his successes happening in 2003. Has the alias "Jesus" because of his characteristic long hair and beard, and is able to toss playing cards quick enough to cut through pickles and bananas. As of Two Thousand and Five his total live poker tourney earnings exceeded 5 million dollars.
