Web poker has become world acclaimed as of late, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game events. The games universal appeal, though, stretches back quite a bit farther than its television ratings. Over the years numerous variants on the earliest poker game have been developed, including a handful of games that are not in reality poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of the above-mentioned games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely resembling vingt-et-un than traditional poker, in that the players wager against the bank instead of each other. The winning hands, are the established poker hands. There is no bluffing or different kinds of bamboozlement. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up prior to the dealer broadcasting "No more bets." At that moment, both you and the casino and of course every one of the different players are given 5 cards each. After you have looked at your hand and the casino’s first card, you need to in turn make a call bet or bow out. The call wager’s value is equal to your original wager, indicating that the stakes will have increased two fold. Abandoning means that your bet goes immediately to the casino. After the bet comes the showdown. If the dealer doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your wager is returned, with a sum in accordance with the ante. If the bank does have ace/king or better, you win if your hand is greater than the bank’s hand. The dealer pays money even with your wager and fixed expectations on your call bet. These expectations are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for 2 pairs
  • 3-1 for three of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
